Opening Our Creative Studio to the Next Generation
In 2024, we took the first steps toward a series of photography workshops. We named this initiative “Analog Photography Guide in the Digital Era”. By blending theory and practice, we built a program where participants could explore the visual arts from historical techniques to contemporary challenges. Early mornings and late evenings were filled with discussions, hands-on sessions, and presentations, creating a vibrant learning environment where curiosity thrived
From Camera Obscura to AI
Our photography workshops were designed as a dive into the history & philosophy of photography. Participants began by observing the phenomenon of the camera obscura, building their own cameras from tin cans, and exploring the early works of Daguerre and Talbot, where portraits required 2-3 minutes of exposure.
We ventured through the experimental photography of the 1990s, exploring techniques like chemigrams and the use of photography as a medium for design and collage. Finally, we addressed the contemporary challenges of imagery in the age of artificial intelligence, discussing how the digital era reshapes visual culture.
✔︎ Over 30 participants completed the courses, each creating their own personal photography series.
✔︎ The program included 30 hours of training, divided into 10 sessions.
As part of our mission to make visual culture accessible to young people, we dedicated a program to support a scholarship fund. This allowed a group of young people aged 18-24 to participate in the course free of charge. By providing these opportunities, we are building a community of young creatives who are not only learning but also becoming actively involved in our upcoming projects. This is just the beginning of creating a network of fresh voices who contribute to the evolving visual culture in genuine and inspiring ways.
